Introduction on the R key

The darkfall R-key is also named the sheath and unsheathe key. In the event a player equips a weapon and a magic staff, they are considered sheathed. When a player presses the R-key, his character will unsheathe his weapon and gets ready for combat. A player puts the weapon away by pressing the R-key once again. If a player wants to interact with any object in the game, he needs to sheathe his weapon. A player needs to bear in mind that after he kills a monster, he has to press R before he can use the F key to loot it.
